Orphans for Christ in Africa
Until they are old
enough to care for themselves!
PATEWO
Community Care Project
Anthony and
First Five Children
Patewo
is the birthplace of Orphans for Christ in Africa . This is
the village where the first five children were supported first.
The village is located in Mwenge Patewo village, Paya sub-county
Tororo district, eastern Uganda
; about 40 minutes drive from Tororo town. The orphans in
this village have no proper school and no access to healthcare
because it is a rural village. Orphans
for Christ in Africa is planning to purchase a piece of property
in the village and set up a community care project that will
minister to the educational, emotional, spiritual and physical
needs of the orphans and people of the community as a the
community as a whole. When fully operational, the project
will consist of a community Orphan School , a community health
center with HIV/AIDS programs, a multi-purpose community hall that
will also serve as a place of worship as well as serve the
community in various ways and a borehole for safe drinking water.
Funding assistance
is needed to enable OCA purchase a piece of property in the
community where the project will be established. Additional
funding will be needed for building the orphan school, health
center, a multi-purpose community hall and for sinking the
borehole to provide safe drinking water. The
community will make and bake all the bricks that will be required
for the construction work, as part of their contribution to the
project. Additional funding will help with the purchase of
furniture and initial supplies for the school, health center and
the community hall.
